Oven roasted artichokes are healthy and delicious. They make a wonderful vegetable side dish for thanksgiving or family dinner. Recipes for artichokes like these are paleo, gluten free, and even keto.

Roasted artichokes are very healthy and nutritious. Artichokes are a variety of thistle cultivated as a food. The edible portion is the part of a pre budding flower. One medium artichoke contains 60 calories, 13 grams of carbs, and 7 grams of carbs.

That means 1 serving of recipes for artichokes contains 6 net carbs. Due to the fact that the fall and holiday season is upon us I recommend this recipe as a great vegetable side dish for thanksgiving.

Recipes for artichokes need the following ingredients 4 large fresh artichokes, 2 tbsp Apple cider vinegar, and 2 tbsp olive oil. Also 2 tbsp everything but the bagel seasoning, 2 tsp sea salt, and 3 oz Gouda Cheese (crumbled).

These make a wonderful vegetable side dish for thanksgiving!

Oven Roasted Artichokes

Start making these roasted artichokes by cutting off the thick stem and then cutting them all in half (leaving you with 8 halves). Use a spoon to scoop out the inedible fuzzy center (called the choke) located on top of the heart.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F then line your sheet pan with parchment paper. Use a basting brush to lightly coat the artichokes with olive oil. Then do the same with the apple cider vinegar.

Sprinkle the seasonings evenly over the inner part of the artichokes. Crumble up your Gouda cheese (or cheese of your preference).

Bake the roasted artichokes recipe for 15 minutes, then carefully cover with a sheet of tin foil and bake another 30 minutes (total 45 minutes). These recipes for artichokes make a wonderful vegetable side dish
