It’s basically summer time so I’m having fun making Keto desserts and treats! It’s so easy to make them and they’re so freaking delicious!

My family members can’t even tell the difference between ketogenic Frosting and regular full sugar ones. So they just think I’m a nice momma who is making them tasty desserts! 

So what is this Keto sweetener all the recipes are using called Erythritol? Erythritol belongs to the class of compounds referred to as sugar alcohols.

This particular sugar alcohol is a naturally occurring compound that stimulates the sweet taste receptors on your tongue to mimic the taste of sugar. It is 80% sweeter than granular sugar with only 5% the calories.

Other Keto friendly sweeteners include stevia, sucralose, and Splenda. You can use any of these ingredients for the “sugar” component in this ice cream.

What is monk fruit sugar? Monk fruit comes from A plant cultivated for its fruit which produces an extract nearly 300 times sweeter than sugar. The fruit was introduced to the United States in the early 20th century. 

Both erythritol and monk fruit provide powder sugar products. These are best used in recipes like this Keto buttercream frosting.

This Keto Recipe is so easy!

Powdered sugar has the right texture and consistency that you want for Keto icing and frostings. All you need to make this recipe is 2 cups butter (room temperature), 2 tbsp heavy whipping cream, and 2 tsp butter popcorn extract. Also 3 cups sugar free powdered sugar.   • Electric mixer


  • 2 cups butter room temperature (vegan butter or butter flavored vegetable shortening for vegan version)
  • 2 tbsp heavy whipping cream use coconut cream or oil for vegan replacement
  • 2 tsp

    butter popcorn extract

  • 3 cups sugar free powdered sugar

    such as powdered monkfruit or powdered erythritol- links to products below


  • In a large mixing bowl Combine all wet ingredients and blend on low
  • Slowly add powdered sugar one cup at a time blending on low intermittently
  • Store in refrigerator for 2-3 hours and blend again for optimal fluffiness
  • Decorated your pastries ! This low carb frosting is great for piping
