Keto Chocolate Peanut Butter Donuts Recipe

This keto chocolate peanut butter donuts recipe is so tasty and easy to make. This recipe for chocolate donuts is also a keto cream cheese dessert. Cream cheese is rich, thick, and has very little carbs. The peanut butter frosting is keto as well. keto donut recipes are perfect when you need to curb a sugar craving!

Anytime I’m doing the Keto diet I always get the worse late night sugar cravings. That’s why I love having this keto donut recipe with peanut butter frosting waiting in the refrigerator. So when I sneak out to the kitchen at 2 am I can snack on that!

I made this recipe for chocolate donuts yesterday afternoon and already ate most of them by the next morning. The keto frosting is mouth watering. I’m about to eat the last one for breakfast. The best part is how easy it is to make keto cream cheese desserts. 

The ingredients for this keto donut recipe are so easy. All you need is (1)3/4 cup almond flour, 1/4 cup coconut flour, and 1 cup sugar substitute for baking. Keto confectioners sugar that measure equal to granular sugar are best. Such as confectioners Erythritol, Monk Fruit, or Sucralose. 

These type of Keto sweeteners work in place of powdered sugar. They have a super-fine texture that also works great for glazes, icings, puddings and curds. It’s best to use the “confectioners” version as it best adds the texture of the donuts and icing.

Other ingredients you need for keto chocolate peanut butter donuts recipe include 2 tbsp cocoa powder, 2 eggs, and 8 oz cream cheese. Also 1 tsp vanilla extract and 2 tbsp heavy whipping cream

The ingredients for the peanut butter frosting are simple also. All you need is 1 cup powdered sugar substitute for baking, 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream, and 2 tbsp Peanut Butter. The keto frosting is so creamy and thick.  

The easiest way to blend the keto donut ingredients is to combine all wet ingredients in a large mixing bowl and whisk until thoroughly combined. Then combine all dry ingredients in a separate large mixing bowl and whisk until thoroughly combined. 

Slowly add the wet ingredients to dry ingredients and beat with an electric mixer until thoroughly combined. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F for the keto cream cheese dessert. Then grease your non stick, 6 count donut pan.

Pour the keto chocolate peanut butter donut batter into the donut pan. Make sure to evenly distribute the batter into each donut pan compartment. Bake the donuts for only 10 minutes. Remove them from the oven and allow to rest.

The keto frosting is so easy to make

Combine the sugar substitute with heavy whipping cream into a large mixing bowl and whisk vigorously until thoroughly combined. Add the peanut butter to the icing mixture and whisk again until thoroughly combined. 

Once the donuts are completely cooled off remove them from the donut pan. Dip them top first into the peanut butter icing. They are ready to eat! Yum they are so flavorful and perfect for Keto breakfast.

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F 
  • Grease your donut pan (non stick pan for 6 donuts)
  • Pour the donut batter into the donut pan, evenly distribute the batter into each donut pan compartments 
  • Bake for only 10 minutes
  • Remove donuts from the oven and allow to rest

For The Icing

  • Combine the sugar substitute with heavy whipping cream into a large mixing bowl and whisk vigorously until thoroughly combined 
  • Add the peanut butter to the icing mixture and whisk again until thoroughly combined 
  • Once the donuts are completely cooled off remove them from the donut pan
  • Dip the tops of the donuts into the icing and twist around
