Keto Chocolate Chip Cookies
These Keto chocolate chip cookies are delicious and sugar free. They’re so low in carbs making them perfect for Keto dieters. I love these low carb cookies for breakfast, snack, and dessert. They’re also great for meal prepping and carb counting meal plans.
My favorite brand of keto friendly chocolate chips to use for low carb cookies is Lilly’s brand. Due to the fact that Lily’s Sweets Dark Chocolate Premium Baking Chips do not have sugar added. Which helps control the amount of sugar in baking.
Additionally Lilly’s chocolate chips are sweetened with Stevia. These dark chocolate chips are great-tasting, and healthy baking starts with great-tasting, healthy ingredients. Other qualities I like about Lilly’s is that they are Stevia Sweetened, 55% Cocoa, and Vegan.
They’re also Non-GMO, Gluten Free, and Fair Trade. Lilly’s have No Sugar Added and Kosher friendly. Other great sugar free chocolate chips for these Keto chocolate chip cookies include Hershey’s and Nestle Toll House.
You only need a few simple ingredients to make these low carb chocolate chip cookies. Ingredients include 1.5 cup almond flour, 1/2 cup salted butter softened, and 3/4 cup erythritol. Also 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 whole egg, and 1/2 tsp baking powder.
You also need 3/4 cup sugar free chocolate chips such as Lilly’s for Keto chocolate chip cookies. They’re so easy to prepare and bake as well. In a large mixing bowl combine almond flour, erythritol, and baking powder. Whisk these dry ingredients until low carb cookie dough thoroughly combined.
Next combine the egg and vanilla extract and whisk vigorously until thoroughly combined. Then add the softened, room temperature, butter and whisk again vigorously until thoroughly combined. Lastly, add the sugar free chocolate chips and use a large spoon to mix and fold until chocolate chips are evenly distributed throughout the low carb chocolate chip cookie dough.
Now is a good time to preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a large sheet pan with non stick spray, oil, or butter. Now you need to manually roll the cookie dough into 12 separate cookie dough balls. Spread the cookie dough bake out on the baking sheet. Flatten the cookie dough balls with your hand or a fork.
