Instant Pot Chicken Breast And Rice

Instant pot chicken and rice is the perfect way to make quick and eat dinner for your family. It’s absolutely delicious with these flavor combinations as well! Once you try this dish out you will never make el roz con pollo any other way. Instant pot chicken breast recipes like this are perfect with brown rice, onions, marinade, and your favorite spices. 

Instant pot chicken and rice is super healthy using brown rice. Brown rice is the same grain as white rice except the brown contains the hull, bran layer, and cereal germ! Also it’s important to note that brown rice takes longer to cook than white rice. Brown rice is a whole grain and an excellent source of magnesium, phosphorus, selenium, thiamine, niacin, vitamin B6, and manganese, and fiber! 

What ingredients do you need for instant pot chicken breast recipes like this one?

  1. 1 lbs chicken breast tenders
  2. 1/4 cup chopped onions
  3. 1 tbsp olive oil
  4. 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
  5. 1/2 tbsp garlic salt
  6. 1 tsp black pepper
  7. 1 tsp paprika
  8. 1 tsp red chili flakes
  9. 1 tsp dried parsley
  10. 1 tsp dried oregano
  11. 1 cup brown rice
  12. 3.5 cups vegetable or chicken broth

How do you make this instant pot chicken and rice?

Step 1. Start by combining the chicken breast and chop onions with sea olive oil lemon juice and all the seasonings in a large Ziploc bag and shake it up.

This recipe is the perfect easy dinner dish.

Step 2. Allow the chicken and seasoning to marinate for four hours or overnight. 

Step 3. Rinse your rice and set it aside for later.

Step 4. Toss the chicken with the onions into the instant pot, arrange them flat, and seal the lid.

Step 5. Make sure the steam valve is closed and sauté for four minutes with a natural steam release.

Step 6. Flip the chicken over and repeat the stuff in order to brown the other side of the chicken.

Step 7. Then you can combine the brown rice and chicken broth and any more seasonings you would like at this step and perhaps a dash more oil.

Step 7. You still want the steam valve to be closed this time so let pressure cook on high for 10 minutes and allow the instant pot chicken and rice to naturally release.
