How To Cook Perfect Sirloin Steak

There are a variety of recipes with sirloin steak and how to cook sirloin steak but after making this, I can’t help but feel proud. This recipe is mouth-watering and delectable. Although it may seem like all the other recipes, the flavor of this sirloin steak really stood out and is a healthy, yet simple and keto-friendly meal. If you are wondering how to prepare and cook sirloin steak at home, just follow my recipe below.


The first step, like all other recipes with sirloin steak, is to acquire one or many, depending on if you are making this meal for yourself or your family. After that, you will want to pat each steak dry with a paper towel to absorb moisture. Next, gather the lemon juice, herbs, and seasoning to put into a small mixing bowl and whisk until thoroughly combined. You will then need to melt 2 tbsp butter in a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat (repeat if necessary for multiple steaks).


I prefer to use a cast-iron skillet while other recipes with sirloin-steak may call for a grill. I found that using a cast-iron skillet will hold more flavor and the steak is much juicier. Once the butter is melted dry rub the seasoning mixture onto the steak. Then place it into the cast-iron to cook. In order to cook sirloin steak properly and to maintain the flavor, you will want to sear each side for approximately 5 minutes if not slightly longer depending on the thickness of your steak and preferred wellness.

In order to check to see if your steak is done, you can use a thermometer and place it in the center of the steak. You will want to make sure that it is 145 degrees F or about 62.78 degrees C. This means your steak is medium done. If you want it medium-rare, leave it on for less time, and for well done, leave it on longer.


Most recipes with sirloin steak that you will find out there will end here but we will not. Once your steak is done, do not whip out the cast iron and instead fry the green beans in the leftover juices from the steak with shallots, garlic, 1 tbsp butter, and any remaining seasoning. To top it all off garnish everything with parmesan, and enjoy.


Just remember that this recipe, like other recipes with sirloin steak, is meant for on steak. If you are making this delicious and savory meal using more than one steak, make sure to adjust your measurement accordingly. This recipe with sirloin steak is gluten free and keto friendly.

Ingredients

  • 1 lbs Sirloin Steak  (3-4 steaks)
  • 3 tbsp butter, unsalted
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup chopped shallots
  • 2 tsp minced parsley
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp celery salt
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 3 cups green beans
  • 1 tbsp freshly grated parmesan cheese for garnish

Instructions

  • Pat each steak dry with a paper towel to absorb moisture 
  • Combine the lemon juice, herbs, and seasoning in a mixing bowl and whisk until thoroughly combined 
  • Melt 2 tbsp butter a large cast iron skillet over medium high heat
  • Dry rub the seasoning mixture on the steak and sear each steak for approximately 5 minutes per side depending on thickness of your steak and preferred doneness 
  • You can check with a thermometer (145 degrees F in the center of your steak means your steak is medium done)
  • When your steak is done fry the green beans in the skillet with the steak juices, shallots, garlic, 1 tbsp butter, and remaining seasoning. 
  • Sprinkle everything with Parmesan cheese
