These Green Monster Cyclopes Cookie Recipe are delicious and fun for the Halloween season. I adore these eyeball candies they’re perfect for baking too. This Halloween dessert recipe is easy and fun for the entire family.
I actually first made these in the spring just getting a head start on my Halloween recipes. It’s my favorite holiday because it’s super fun and silly. Last year we didn’t get enough trick or treating done because my youngest was only 1. She cried a lot in the car while we were looking for houses.
But we still found a lot of decorated houses with friendly people giving out candy! I’m excited for Halloween this year so I can make these monster cyclops cookies. I really hope it will be safe to trick or treat by October 2020.
This year has been crazy so far! I’ve gotten a lot of baking done that’s for sure. These cyclops cookies are one of my favorite treats I came up with. They’re super simple for anyone to bake as well.
The ingredients include 3/4 cups Sweet Cream Salted Butter (softened), and 1/4 cup whole milk. Also 1 cups Sugar, 1 Egg, 1 tbsp. Vanilla, and 2 tsp. Baking Powder.
You will also need 3 cups Flour (All-Purpose), 1 tbsp green food coloring, and some Eyeball baking candy to make monster cyclops cookies. They are super quick and easy to make also.
Start making cyclops cookies by combining all the dry ingredients (except the eye ball candies) in a large mixing bowl. Whisk the ingredients together until thoroughly combined.
In a separate bowl combine all the wet ingredients and whisk them as well until thoroughly combined. Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and whisk until thoroughly combined.
Roll the cookie dough into about 16 separate balls. Line two sheet pans with parchment paper and distribute cookie dough balls over them. Ensure the Halloween cookies have enough space in between so they don’t connect.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Bake the cookies for 12 – 15 minutes then remove from the oven. Carefully press the eyeball candies in the center of each cookie before they harden all the way. Once they are completely cooled off, drizzle red gel frosting on top. All the kids love these little monster cookies.
