Easy Recipe For Monkey Bread

This easy recipe for monkey bread will knock your socks off. It’s soft, chewy, impact with all your favorite flavors. Once you see how to make monkey bread with this delicious orange cream cheese glaze you will never need another dessert recipe. Just wait until you and your loved ones have a cheese of this oven baked dessert, you will be in heaven! 

How to make monkey bread is so simple you won’t believe it. All you need is canned premade biscuit dough from the refrigeration aisle at the grocery store. It’s usually near the butter and cream cheese. For example Pillsberry grands biscuits work great. However you can use any brand you like as long is it’s around 16 ounces per container. 

This is the recipe for monkey bread is so delicious with brown sugar, powdered sugar, and cream cheese glaze. Additionally the cream cheese Glaze is amped up with orange juice and orange zest. The citrus goodness really makes the cream cheese flavor pop. Some people like to add raisins, walnuts, or another type of nut inside the monkey bread however I left that stepped out for mine. 

What ingredients do you need to make this easy recipe for monkey bread? 

  • 2 (16 oz) cans of premade biscuit dough for example Pillsberry grands biscuits
  • 1/2 cup Butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powder sugar
  • 1/4 cup raisins (optional)
  • 1/4 cup crushed walnuts (optional)

For The Glaze 

  • 1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup butter (melted)
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 tbsp vanilla creamer
  • 2 cups powder sugar (sifted)

How do you make monkey bread with cream cheese glaze? 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Pop open your biscuit dough containers and cut each individual biscuit dough into four pieces.
  • Combine the biscuit dough pieces in a large mixing bowl with 1/4 cup melted butter, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup powdered sugar.
  • Mix and toss to evenly distribute the butter and sugars throughout the pieces of biscuit though.
  • Grease your Bundt cake pan (Standard 10” is fine).
  • Layer the coated biscuit dough pieces into the pan until they are evenly distributed and form the shape of the Bundt cake pan.
  • You want it to fill up no more than 3/4 of the way up of the pan for this easy recipe for monkey bread.
  • Coat the top with melted butter and then bake it for 35 minutes.
  • In the meantime make the cream cheese glaze by microwave in the cream cheese for 30 seconds and combining it with 1/4 cup melted butter in a large mixing bowl and whisk thoroughly,
  • Whisk in the orange juice and creamer followed by the powdered sugar.
  • Wait for the monkey bread cake to cool down before turning the pan upside down on a flat surface to remove it from the pan.
  • Drizzle the glaze all over the top until you’ve used it all.

Instructions
