Easy Crockpot Mashed Potatoes Recipe

Easy crockpot mashed potatoes are the perfect side dish for all occasions. For example you can serve it for family dinner, dinner parties, and for the fall season. It’s so simple to make these slow cooker mashed potatoes. All you have to do is toss the ingredients in the crockpot. I love making mashed potatoes in slow cooker.

Mashed potatoes in the crock pot are so soft and flavorful. I love cooking side dishes in the slow cooker. Additionally it’s so simple to throw all the ingredients together and let it cook. It cooks itself with very little effort. Also my whole family loves this recipe.

This mashed potatoes recipe is the best with milk. Due to the fact that milk is thicker and creamier than water. You could also add some heavy cream for even thicker slow cooker mashed potatoes.

I love adding some chives at the end of mashed potatoes in slow cooker as well. But I’ll leave that option out as not everyone loves onions. Another tasty addition to this recipe for mashed potatoes in crock pot would be some crunchy bacon bits. Slow cooker mashed potatoes are the perfect side dish

You only need 5 easy ingredients to make mashed potatoes in slow cooker. All you need is 4 large skinless potatoes, 2 cups milk, 2 tbsp butter, 1 tbsp salt and 1/2 tbsp pepper. You could also add some chives and bacon bits at the end of the slow cooking process.

Start making this slow cooker mashed potatoes recipe by peeling the skin off of the potatoes. Next, combine all the ingredients inside your crockpot. Turn the crockpot on high and put the lid on. After about 2 hours mix it around a little with a large mixing spoon. 

After about 3 hours use a potato masher to mash up the potatoes. Then use a whisk to stir and blend up the potatoes into mashed potatoes. Allow to continue cooking for another hour until thoroughly cooked and soft.
