This recipe for pan fried chicken with cream sauce is out of this world delicious. Once you smell the aromas and taste the flavors you will fall in love. I make this one on chicken dinner at least once a week! It’s perfect with a side salad or steamed veggies and some bread rolls too. I use Cajun seasoning for this recipe vector tastes so good. Cajun seasoning is generally a blend of blend of paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, crushed red pepper, thyme and oregano. It’s perfect for this recipe for pan fried chicken with cream sauce. 

Where did Cajun food come from?

Cajun cooking styles originated by immigrants roots in France who were exiled from Canada to  Louisiana. These people eventually settled in the swamps and bayous of southern Louisiana. They are known as Acadians and are a unique cultural group with their own language. 

Other ingredients for this recipe for pan fried chicken with cream sauce includes: 

2 lbs chicken breast- sliced thin and pounded thin 

1/2 tsp salt 

1 tsp black garlic powder 

1 tsp red chili powder

2 tbsp freshly chopped green onions 

2 tbsp freshly chopped parsley

2 tbsp freshly chopped cilantro 

3/4 cup diced tomatoes 

1/2 lime 

3 tbsp olive oil 

4 oz vegetable cream cheese 

1/2 cup heavy cream 

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce 

How Do You Make This Dish?

Season the flattened chicken

Directions for this recipe for pan fried chicken with cream sauce includes:

Prep your tomato, green onions, parsley, and cilantro before combining in a bowl with a dash of salt and squirt of lime juice, set it aside to marinate.

Pound the chicken breast as thin as you can and cut it into smaller cutlets. 

Season the chicken breast cutlets on both sides with the Cajun seasoning blend. 

Heat the olive oil in your pan. 

Cook the chicken for 2 minutes on each side. 

Pan sear each side

Put them on a separate plate before pouring the entire bowl of tomato and herbs into the hot pan.

Sauté the herb mixture for a few minutes then add the cream cheese and Worcestershire sauce and stir until melted.

Pour in the cream, cornstarch, the black garlic powder and pepper. 

Bring back to a simmer then add the chicken back in the pan and sizzle another 3 minutes on low heat.

  • 1 lbs chicken breast Prepped and beat thin

  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp black garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp freshly chopped cilantro
  • 2 tbsp Freshly chopped green onions
  • 2 tbsp freshly chopped parsley
  • 3/4 cup freshly diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 average lime juice
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  • Chop up your tomato, green onions, parsley, and cilantro before combining in a bowl with a pinch of salt and squirt of lime juice, set it aside to marinate.
  • Pound the chicken breast as thin as you can and cut it into smaller cutlets. 
  • Generously season the chicken on both sides with the Cajun seasoning blend. 
  • Bring the olive oil to a sizzle in a skillet then sear the chicken cutlets for 2 minutes per side then remove them to a separate plate before dumping the entire bowl of tomato and herbs into the hot pan.
  • Sauté the herb mixture for a few minutes then add the cream cheese and Worcestershire sauce and stir until melted.
  • Pour in the cream, cornstarch, the black garlic powder and pepper. 
  • Bring back to a simmer then add the chicken back in and cook another 3 minutes.
